Summer Bucket List Fun!
We will be posting ideas and devotions during the week to keep you connected and engaged with God and family this whole summer.
Let's get started with something from your bucket you picked up Sunday
Sidewalk Chalk Bible Verse Contest
This is a fun way for families to write out God’s Word. We included sidewalk chalk for you to use to write out a Bible verse on your driveway or road. Not only just write it out but be creative and make a cool mural. Once completed take a picture and post it to our Children’s Ministry Facebook page. At the end of the summer, we will judge and the winner will get a gift card!
Kids Own Worship
Every Sunday morning children from birth – 5th grade meet for their own worship service. Families begin worship time together then children are dismissed to attend their own kid-style worship. Held during both the Lakeville service at 9:30 am and Inver Grove Heights service at 10:30am.
Every Wednesday evening during the school year CROSSROADS Children have small group classes for all ages through 5th grade. Music, activities and great bible lessons keep your child both entertained and educated. Please join us on Wednesday nights, 6:30-8:00 pm. at the Lakeville Campus.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is held during the summer to engage children ages 5 years old through 5th grade during their summer vacation. This is a week with fun activities and lessons geared around a specific biblical theme. There will be opportunities at both the Lakeville and Inver Grove Heights campuses.
Kristine Cameron (Krissy) was born in Kansas and now lives in Lakeville right down the street from Crossroads Church with her daughter. She is an account manager for a direct marketing/advertising company in Blaine. Before that, she lived in New York and traveled the world as a Pan Am flight attendant. She has been at Crossroads for over 15 years serving as Trustee Chair, on Leadership Team, VBS Director and mentoring Eagle Scouts with their final projects. Her passions are creating fun events to reach out to our community with love and faith, and teaching children about Jesus in a fun, engaging way.
“I truly believe our relationship with God is a journey, not a moment or a single prayer, day or year. Our faith is ever-changing and I think that is healthy for all ages.”
